Question 1

Is Dissect a good mymind alternative?

Accepted Answer

It covers the same habit — save anything, file nothing — and adds the three things mymind deliberately leaves out: you can ask your own library a question and get an answer with the sources attached, you can share a single collection by link, and Pro is $4 a month against mymind's $12.99.

Question 2

How much does Dissect cost compared to mymind?

Accepted Answer

mymind is $12.99 a month at one global price, about ₹1,083 in India, with no permanent free tier. Dissect is free to start with 10 saves a month and no card, $4 a month for Pro, and $8 for Ultra. In India that is ₹99 and ₹249.

Question 3

Can I move my mymind library across?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Paste a list of URLs, or upload a browser bookmarks export, an HTML file or a CSV, and Dissect reads each one as it arrives rather than just storing the link. An imported library is searchable on arrival instead of being a pile you moved.

Question 4

Does Dissect still work without folders, the way mymind does?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Tags and groupings are written for you as things arrive, and Smart Collections form on their own. You can file things by hand if you want to, and you can switch the automatic grouping off in settings, but nothing breaks if you never open the tag list.
