Question 1

Is Dissect a good Raindrop.io alternative?

Accepted Answer

If you use Raindrop as a filing cabinet and it works, stay. People move when the filing stops paying off: 4,000 saves in nested collections and still no way to find the one you half-remember. Dissect reads every save and answers questions across all of them, for $4 a month against Raindrop Pro's $9.

Question 2

How much does Dissect cost compared to Raindrop Pro?

Accepted Answer

Raindrop Pro is $9 a month, or $72 a year, and full-text search, the web archive and the AI assistant all sit behind it. Dissect Pro is $4 a month, ₹99 in India, and the free tier does not expire.

Question 3

Can I import my Raindrop collections?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Export from Raindrop and upload the CSV or HTML file, or paste a list of URLs. Dissect reads each save as it lands, so the imported library is searchable by meaning rather than being the same list in a new place.

Question 4

Do I still have to sort things into collections?

Accepted Answer

No. Tags and groupings are written as things arrive and Smart Collections form on their own. Folders are there if you want them, but nothing depends on you maintaining a tree.
